Staff Bio – Jennifer Brien


Jennifer Brien
is a life-long resident of St. Mary’s County, growing up in Hollywood, attending Leonardtown High School and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1994.

She began her career working as a paralegal in Prince George’s County, and six years later transitioned into real estate processing for several well-known local firms. She primarily handled residential purchases and refinances. She earned her Title Producer’s License from the State of Maryland after completing an extensive study course and examination. In 2010 Jennifer branched out from real estate processing and became employed with The Housing Authority of St. Mary’s County as a Fiscal Specialist and Property Manager and was later employed by a well-known fuel and service provider as a Customer Care Representative.

In May 2014, Jennifer returned to real estate processing with The Law Office of Joann M. Wood. She once again her Title Producer’s License through the State of Maryland in October 2014 after successfully completing a required course of study and State examination. She has maintained her license by participating in continuing education requirements. Her licensing allows her to share her extensive knowledge of settlement procedures and practices as well as conduct real estate settlements on behalf of the office as an appointed agent of Old Republic Title Insurance.

Jennifer has a well-rounded knowledge of real estate processing and management and is a valuable asset to our office.
